New Website Highlights Steve King’s Lack of Results for Iowa

DES MOINES – The Iowa Democratic Party has launched NotWorkingForIowa.com to highlight Congressman Steve King’s inability to produce results and focus on the needs of his constituents.

“Congressman King continues to show Iowan’s how tone-deaf he is to their concerns,” said Iowa Democratic Party Chairwoman Sue Dvorsky. “With such an outrageous record, it took an entire website to catalog the instances where Steve King has put an irresponsible agenda ahead of the Iowans he represents.”

“From refusing to support disaster aid that would rebuild Iowa communities after floods, to flying to South Carolina and Michigan to support his fellow Tea Party Republicans, Steve King is not working for Iowa.”

The site houses the Iowa Democratic Party’s research on Steve King, highlighting his past votes and out-of-touch rhetoric on a variety of issues. In addition to a “greatest hits” section highlighting some of King’s most egregious stances, the website also examines select issues in-depth.

“With Steve King constantly putting politics ahead of what’s best for Iowa, we will undoubtedly continue to add to this site and show voters where his priorities really lie,” added Dvorsky.
